Chinese Cold Soft Tofu

Chinese cold soft tofu - silky smooth tofu doused in sauce, topped with scallions and fried shallots. One of the best ways to enjoy tofu.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g organic soft/silken tofu
  • ½ tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • scallions to top
  • fried shallots to top

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine the sauces and sugar.
  • Place the soft tofu face down on your serving plate. I like to squish it gently to remove it from the packaging.
  • Pour the sauce over the tofu, and top with scallions and fried shallots. Serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the seasonings to your taste, and swap/include other ingredients like shallot oil or chili oil.
