Chocolate Miso Air Fried Oats

An Asian twist on baked oats: Chocolate Miso Air-Fried Oats. Perfect when you're craving something sweet, chocolatey and umami.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ large banana
  • cup rolled oats
  • cup unsweetened plant milk of your choice
  • ½ tbsp sugar*
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp miso paste
  • ½ tbsp cocoa powder
  • chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat air-fryer to 180°C.
  • Blend all the ingredients (except chocolate chips) together until as smooth as possible.
  • Pour into an oven-proof bowl and top with chocolate chips.
  • Air-fry for 10 minutes, and serve while still warm.

Notes

*I used brown sugar here, but you can use any type of granulated or liquid sweetener. Feel free to add more if you like things on the sweeter side.
When the oats are fresh out from the air fryer, it will be more firm around the edges and still creamy in the middle. The longer you leave it, the thicker it'll become. If you like a thinner consistency, you can either eat the oats immediately once they're done cooking OR reduce the cooking time by a 1-2 minutes. For a thicker consistency, simply let the oats cool for a few minutes before eating.
